TOWN produced arguably their best performance of the season on Tuesday night. Attacking football flowed from the first whistle and Bridgnorth chairman Eric Eagles said the team looked balanced in every department.

Bridgnorth travelled to Aston again for an exciting game which flowed first one way then the other, with the result in doubt right to the end.

ANOTHER poor first 45 minutes meant Town were always chasing this game, going in at half time 4-0 down. But the visitors would have gone home feeling they should have at least got something from the game after pulling it back to 4-3 with 15 minutes still to play.
The second gala in Northgate Swimming Club’s 2008 annual championship included the 200m and 100m individual medley and 200m freestyle events. The age groups competing were eight and under, nine, 10, 11, 12/13, 14/15, open and masters.

BRIDGNORTH first XV can mount a good challenge in this year’s Midlands West (division three north) programme if they can keep clear of injuries.
Kinlet Cricket Club has been placed in the top ten in a competition run by the Daily Telegraph to find Britain’s most beautiful ground.
The club, which plays 35 friendly fixtures a season at weekends and on weekday evenings, was placed equally with nine others behind the overall winner, Bridgetown CC in Somerset.

BRIDGNORTH RFC’s first team, who watched Saturday’s season opener from the touchline as they had no match, will be aware that their places are in jeopardy from the talented second XV.
BRIDGNORTH Town were again left frustrated by the appalling weather after both their Saturday and Tuesday night matches were cancelled. Town were hoping to progress in the FA Vase against Stratford and pick up £800 worth of prize money.
