Major improvements for riverside

A Bridgnorth group has been given the go-ahead to start work on smartening up the town’s riverside. The first phase of the long-term programme of improvements drawn up by landscape architects Pleydell Smithyman will concentrate on the east bank, between Severn Park and the bridge, to provide a ‘better welcome’ for visitors to the town.

BRIDGNORTH has had a pat on the back from the Home Office after coming top of a national performance table for community safety. Bridgnorth Safety Partnership is the best performing among 15 districts considered to be similar demographically to Bridgnorth, according to figures supplied by the Safer and Stronger Communities Fund Board.
