A woman was pulled from the edge of the River Severn by friends after falling down a steep bank.
The woman, who was in her 20s, was rescued near the Ship Inn at Severnside, Highley, at about 1.30am on Tuesday.
Police, fire and ambulance personnel attended and the woman was taken to the Worcester Royal Hospital for a check-up.
Richard Ewels, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: “It appears a woman in her 20s had either slid or fallen down a steep bank to the water’s edge. She was helped out by two men who knew her, assisted up the bank and taken to hospital for a check-up.”
The incident came after a 45-year-old woman was rescued by her husband after falling into the water at The Boldings, a coarse fishing complex at Astley Abbots at about 2pm on Saturday.
The woman, believed to be from the Wolverhampton area, was taken by ambulance to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford for a check-up.
