CHELMARSH Sailing Club’s Keith Wilkins sailed to victory last weekend, taking the Great Grand Master title at the UK Laser Master National Championships at Stokes Bay, Gosport.
The 51 strong fleet started in light winds and sunshine with Keith, sitting in 14th place, making an excellent comeback to finish the event in 4th overall and winning his class.
The event was the second of three qualifiers for the 2011 World Championships being held in San Francisco.
Keith, who has already won the World title 10 times with his Laser, is now training hard for the 2010 World Championships being held at Hayling Island, in September.
