BRIDGNORTH race ace Michael Rutter maintained his stunning form last weekend with a second place finish at the revamped Silverstone circuit. ‘

British Superbike star Rutter took second place to fellow BSB competitor Josh Brookes in what was dubbed the ‘racing of the weekend’ as the big production bike class showed its depth and competitiveness on the World arena.

Michael was racing for his usual team, RidersMotorcycles.com, although this weekend saw him aboard the BMW S1000RR rather than his usual Ducati 1198.

Michael said “It’s fantastic to be back on the podium riding the new BMW. The weekend will help us get ahead when we return for the Silverstone round of British Superbikes.

“The new track is awesome, it’s definately the best circuit in the UK, full of long sweeping bends – I can’t wait to ride my Bathams Ducati around here – I think the circuit will really suit the bike.”
