‘Rally in Valley’ goes ahead

EXHIBITORS from around the country will be converging on Bridgnorth next month for the third annual ‘Rally in the Valley’.

More than 400 exhibits, including steam engines, classic cars, motorcycles, military and commercial vehicles, stationery engines and display collections will pack Severn Park on July 17 and 18.

Following the decision by Trevithick 200 to step down as organisers a new team led by David Spruce have put together the weekend.

“The rally has become a popular event for both Bridgnorth and also in the vintage steam world,” he said. “Exhibitors have been contacting us from around the UK as they hear of the beautiful setting and the generous welcome they receive from Bridgnorth people.”

There will also be displays by the Fire Engine Preservation Society, birds of prey and Wyre Forest Animal Rescue is organising a fun dog show.

Saturday evening will see a return visit from Dr Busker, a popular entertainer on the steam rally circuit. Admission to the rally is £3 per adult and children under 12 free.
