Big Walk entries flood in

ALMOST 500 people have so far entered for this year’s annual senior Bridgnorth Journal Sponsored Walk to be held on Spring Bank Holiday Monday, May 31.

They include Andy Rawlings, who will be attempting to finish first in the 22-mile event for the 13th consecutive year, as he steps it out for the Morville Warriors team to raise money for the village primary school.

A total of 39 senior teams are entered so far and the largest to date is the 63 Bridgnorth Air Training Corp Squadron with 46 people registered.

The second largest team includes 28 people stepping it out for Help for Heroes .

ther teams include Shropshire Housing Alliance which help homeless young people in the Bridgnorth area and ‘Teen Hope’ a team of teenagers walking for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

A total of 53 youngsters have so far entered the seven-mile junior walk from Ditton Priors to the top of the Brown Clee and back.
