A win and a loss for Bridgnorth and Shifnal ensured Town stayed clear of the relegation zone and gave the latter new hope of avoiding the drop.

Town manager Andy Marlowe said another six points from his side’s last nine games should see them reach safety.
“We want to push for 40 points to finish the season on a high,” he said. “We had a great result against Oadby, which was superb to be fair as we had a lot of players out through injury and illness.
“We’ve started to bring some reserve players through, and with the likes of myself, Steve Broome, Kevin Thompson and Darren Leonard playing – which is a combined age of 147 years – there’s some good experience in there as well.
“Although we lost to Biddulph we played very well and I felt we should’ve got something out of the game. But we defended two corners poorly and then a goal was given which didn’t cross the line.”
