Shoppers link to London

A special Christmas shopping train to London will run from Bridgnorth’s Severn Valley Railway station later this month.

The special service is being organised by Chiltern Railways in association with the SVR on Saturday, November 28.

It will leave Bridgnorth at 7.45am and call at all SVR stations to Kidderminster before going onto Birmingham Moor Street for anyone who wants to shop at the Bull Ring.

Passengers can carry onto the Bicester North station and take a connecting bus to Bicester Village Designer Outlet Centre, or continue onto London Marylebone, near Madam Tussauds, The Planetarium and Baker Street.

There will be a number of return services including a special evening one for those who want to spend plenty of time in London. Fares start from £22.40 per person if travelling in a group of four or more and discounts are available for those holding senior, family or young persons’ railcards.

Tickets and more information can be obtained from Chiltern Railways Business Travel on (01494) 420117 (9am-5pm, Monday to Friday).
