SPEEDING traffic topped the list of complaints in the Grove area of Bridgnorth in a residents’ survey carried out over the last few weeks.
Organiser Vanessa Voysey, of Bridgnorth Liberal Democrats, said: “We called on nearly every door in the Grove area primarily to ask residents about their housing but we also asked about problems in general.
“Some 35 per cent indicated problems with speeding traffic either on Lodge Lane or Hermitage Hill,” she said. Anti-social behaviour, litter, unkempt hedgerows and dog mess also featured as nuisances.
Residents in the properties remaining in council ownership – about half of those surveyed – were generally happy with the repair service but difficulty in getting hold of anyone at the council were mentioned.
Co organiser Councillor Heather Kidd said: “The good news is that Glyn Shaw from the Highway Department has already surveyed Hermitage Hill.
