A primary school near Bridgnorth is one of just two in the county to go top of the class by gaining 100 per cent in its Key Stage 2 SATs tests for 11-year-olds. Pupils at Morville Primary School all scored top marks in the core subjects of English, science and maths, newly-released figures for the tests taken in September 2008 show.
Headteacher Helen Heaton Cooper said the school was proud of its achievement. “The children and staff have all worked very hard. It¹s a significant improvement on the May 2007 tests,” she said.
Elsewhere in the area St John¹s RC Primary was one of the ‘consistently highest performers’ with Alveley Primary being a ’significant improver’ in the three core areas.
